GridHeritage has collected a wide range of equipment and documents, mostly transmission related to build an impressive collection.

We are slowly developing a catalogue of the artefacts using special museum software called PastPerfect; an associated package called Virtual Exhibit means you can view selected parts of the collection on this website.

Navigating the Collection

Instructions and Search buttons are available on:

  • the main page, to guide you through all of the Exhibits
  • each Exhibit page, to guide you through that particular Exhibition.

Viewing the Collection

  • If your PC uses XP you may need to use the “Turn Off Pop-up Blocker” function for the search to work.
  • Photos in Virtual Exhibit are low resolution - for higher resolution images just email gridheritage@transpower.co.nz
