This section displays historic lines, switchyard and switchgear equipment from high voltage substations and transmission lines throughour New Zealand.

Most of the original collection was assembled from the old NZ Electricity Department plus later groups of equipment were added from the 2002 Palmerston North Lines Reunion, and various private collections. More recent additions have been donated from people in the Palmerston North area.

There is also a 220 kv bulk OCB stored at Stoke substation and parts of 220kv switchgear stored at Bunnythorpe.
