Black desk top telephone and receiver, no dial, but a brown button with the word "Ring" in white text. Cables and junction box attached to rear. A white sticker label on the lower front has "MED" hand written with a ball point pen. Under surface has a white sticker label with faded wiring instructions in black ball point pen. Comment from Graeme O'Neill 19.11.2010: "I believe this phone was from the Addington Operators' desk - hotline to Christchurch MED. The button operated a 6V DC powered transistor power ringer built inside."
